Spiritual Transliteration

John 14:20 “At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.”

The transformation that occurs in a person upon salvation can be described as nothing but miraculous and nothing in this world compares.

The moment of true belief is one that is not easily deciphered. There are no fireworks ascending above a person’s head when the Spirit takes residence, you won’t hear a chorus of angels singing glory to God in the highest, nor is there is a visible light switch seen flipping toward the spiritual ‘on’ position.

Just because we can’t see the visible change in a person’s heart, it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

At the very moment when a heart that was darkened by sin and shame comes to God in response to His call, a spiritual metamorphosis occurs; darkness is filled with light, a positional change occurs from enmity with God to gaining an inheritance as a firstborn child, and redemption from the slavery of sin is received as freedom from death. Once condemned yet now justified, the slave had an impossible debt to pay, now the account has been reconciled and a new name is written in the Book of Life…..directed by God Himself.

Everything Changes

The moment God moves into a life, the change that occurs is a type of spiritual transliteration, the language of Heaven is inscribed into the heart of the new believer. God reveals His Truth in a way that can be understood as His call leads toward a decision to follow. As God reveals His truth to the lost, an awakening occurs from darkness of sin and death to new life. In order to understand what God is revealing, it takes His Holy Spirit to guide the new believer along a path led by God.

Philippians 3:20-21 “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.”

God’s Call

As God draws people toward salvation, they must decide whether to trust in Him or continue to trust in themselves. When the point of decision is reached, the evidence of God is made known, and the call leaves little doubt to the expectation, the new believer has understood in their heart and mind the path they have chosen….it is at this moment when everything changes.

The softened heart has accepted the Truth revealed and a tree of life begins to sprout up in a life that has been reborn. If the softened heart turns hard or rejects the Truth that has been presented then the seed that was deposited is choked out and does not grow.

The Battle

The enemy of mankind is satan and all who do his bidding, the fight is against all life and godliness. From ideologies that are meant to replace righteousness to false representations of truth meant to steer the wayward pilgrim down a false path, eternal death is the objective of every deceiving religion and spiritual attack.

For those who are led astray they will find that it has cost them their life.

How do we know what is false and what is true?

John 17:17 “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

The Word of God is the standard of Truth by which all false claims are measured. There are many deceptive teachers who attempt to insert small changes in how to relate to Christ or walk in truth. The Lord will reveal His Truth to those who seek Him, the question is whether a person is willing to listen.

Listening to God

The transliteration of God’s truth is a process of revelation specific to our ability to hear.

The Lord might use cultural inclinations or our ability to reason to remove roadblocks to Him. The knowledge of God that once was difficult to comprehend now becomes meaningful and rich.

The sin that separated people from God was satisfied by Christ for those who repent and believe.

After coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and deciding to follow, the Spirit of God changes a person’s perspective. Before salvation, the conviction of God’s law was needed for people to understand the magnitude of their offenses. Once grace is realized, Jesus is exalted and the law no longer holds power. Growing in spiritual maturity is the path of the redeemed.

Hebrews 5:12-14 “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

The growth and maturity of a believer hinges on a few key factors:

  1. Walking in Obedience. Righteousness is the process of walking in the knowledge of God’s Word and applying it in action. It is through the revealed truth of God’s testing by which the believer grows in the knowledge of Him. Many think that trials are bad and so they do all they can to escape them—they pray to get out of them, they ask for help from others, and sometimes people think it’s a result of sin or punishment. If God is leading you into the trial, He is going to lead you through the trial. If it is His purpose for you to go through it then you can trust that whatever results will be for your good. 2 Peter 1:8 “For if you possess these qualities and continue to grow in them, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  2. Spiritual Discernment. The ability to grow in knowledge requires the desire to listen. Listening to God’s instruction is an active intentional seeking out of His Word. Regular Bible study is key to a believers growth. 2 Peter 1:2 “Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
  3. Spiritual Mentors. There are those who make their faith in Christ just a secondary aspect of who they are, then there are those for whom their faith is everything. The ones who dwell in righteousness and continually seek out the Lord find strength in drawing near. The men and women of God who are growing in wisdom, are listening to the voice of God and leaning on His instructions—it is those lives that are producing the fruit of the Spirit on a continual basis. Proverbs 10:20-21 “The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, the heart of the wicked is worth little. The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of wisdom.”

For those who hears and applies God’s Word in life they will benefit from God’s leading. Fear can dominate decisions or selfish ambition but regardless of all that hinders, it is the heart of every true believer that God sees and knows.

The majesty of God’s revelation is given to all who would seek Him. Once a person comes into fellowship with Christ, they will never be the same.

The transliteration of Truth moves from the cloud of confusion to spiritual clarity in heart and mind for those who have been transformed.

Do you want to see life from God’s perspective?

A relationship with Jesus Christ is the key.
