Wisdom Revealed

Ephesians 3:10 “His purpose was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,”

What is it about mysteries that intrigue people?

A common theme in books and movies are the genres that leave those reading or watching in intrigue with questions that are difficult to answer. Whether the mystery is a crime that has very little clues or a supernatural event that forces us to draw conclusions without evidence, the desire to know draws people in.

The Bible has all forms of great story lines, from paradise formed by a command to epic stories of nations, the rise and fall of kings, incredible strength displayed, vast wisdom acquired, healing power, the dead raised to life, the hope of salvation and the beauty in it all is that God’s Word remains true.

One of the greatest encouragements to the followers of the Bible is the opportunity to partake yourself.

You too can become part of this great story line. Within the narrative of God’s profound plan for mankind is the call to join. To those who have accepted the call, the evidence of the supernatural becomes affirmed in their lives. The Lord doesn’t wait—He is quick to forgive, quick to restore, and He doesn’t delay in His promises.

For those who partake of the glorious life in Christ, a mystery is revealed that has been withheld from the world….

Ephesians 3:1-4 “For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)”

The ability to acquire the knowledge of God.

The Mystery of Christ

As children of disobedience, all people were once enslaved to sin, lead by Satan, the proud author of rebellion.. and were by nature sons and daughters of destruction.

We had no hope, we had no honor, and our future was one of certain death.

When Jesus came into our world His glorious splendor broke through our darkness and illumined our hearts toward life and godliness.

The grace of God was given…. all we had to do was accept it.

Once received, the very throne of Christ’s victory became our eternal joy. Jesus lifts His people into the splendor of His honor and lets them partake of the Life that is in Him.

What a great hope God’s people have today and what a glorious outlook they have to look forward to.

Ephesians 2:4-7 “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”

The Riches of God’s Grace

Can you imagine in the ages to come, God revealing the magnitude of His grace in its fullness, displaying His splendor, and declaring His glory over His people?

Do you understand what that means now?

Believers have only a taste of what His grace looks like on this earth, and for those who have tasted of His goodness, knowing there is so much more to come only makes Heaven that much more anticipated.

It is by grace we are saved and it yet that is just the start….

Until that Day Comes

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

The works God has prepared are works we often times cannot see until He had led His people into them. Discernment is often acquired as you go.

The responsibility is to Trust and Obey.

The works of God are good.

When we walk in Christ, we walk in the grace that set us Free from sin and death. When we keep our eyes on Christ, we see His goodness manifest in and through our lives.

Ephesians 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”

Sin separated mankind from the goodness of God. No matter how hard we might have tried, we could not mimic what was good within our corrupt flesh.

People so often attribute goodness to whatever they deem as good. True godliness is manifest in true goodness and that comes by way of the Spirit led believer.

The enmity of sin was abolished at the cross of Christ. The peace that follows is one that beckons the redeemed to draw near.

Ephesians 2:17 “And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.”

One day…We will see God

There is only One Way to stand before God’s throne, undefiled, and without judgement— it is by the Spirit of Christ in you. The Spirit of God beckons those who walk in darkness to come to His light. He calls sinners into the freedom of God’s mercy and grace, and He prepares the Bride of Christ for it’s wedding day.

If you want to ascend into God’s presence you must be made perfect. You cannot achieve perfection on your own, it can only be granted through the gift that only Jesus provides.

For those who find eternal life, His church will have a unique purpose in Heaven…

Ephesians 2:19-22 “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”

The temple that once was has now become a spiritual temple of God.

This temple is founded and secured in the rock of Jesus Christ.

God’s church is being assembled, like a sanctuary for the Spirit of God to dwell.

His people will be given the right to partake in sacred assembly as a tribute to the King of kings. His sacrifice has led His people in His Holy Place, and they will worship Him forever.

Every tribe, nation, and tongue will be represented among His people and the glory of the Lord will shine among them and they will enjoy Him for eternity.

Do you want to be there?

This dispensation of grace is only for a time, and that time is drawing near the end.

If you hear His call, don’t delay, the stakes are far too high and the reward is more than you can ever know.

When the Spirit calls, fall to your knees and repent. Pour out your heart upon His throne of grace and He will lift you up.

Then you will know the mystery of Christ, which is Christ in you.
