Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

When you read the news or hear of all the crazy things happening in the world, how do you respond? Some people respond in fear, others in anger, but there remains a people who have a perspective not of this world.
The way people respond to trials often determines the position of their heart.
If the heart is darkened, then what is good is perceived as evil, and that which is evil is perceived as good.
How do you know if your perception of things is correct?
The Insanity of Evil
Insanity is a label often used for someone who seems out of their mind. Extreme foolishness or irrationality are the patterns exhibited in someone who acts in ways that seem to make no sense. Others view the insane as people who can’t distinguish fantasy from reality. People may display erratic or impulsive behavior or they simply cannot conduct their affairs without their psychosis getting in the way.
1 Corinthians 2:14-16 “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”
- For those who think evil is good, their reality of God is a fantasy. They perceive God how they want Him to be and not who He has revealed Himself to be.
- When foolishness is the expectation for a party of like minded individuals then irrationality becomes the standard of bad friends leading one another toward ruin.
- Impulsive behavior is rampant in society, people are displaying road rage at unprecedented levels, while riots and thievery are on the rise. The lack of morality has lead many in society toward accepting truth as anything they desire.

For those who knew society fifty years ago, a claim that our world is going insane doesn’t seem that preposterous today.
We must ask ourselves, are we part of the problem or part of the cure? Do you allow the peace of God to rule in your heart or have you allowed yourself to accept of all that this world has morphed into?
Luke 11:34 “The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness.”
A Right Perception
The natural way of perceiving things is through the senses. Senses can be deceiving, doing a short blindfold experiment can prove this point. If someone tells you something is extremely hot but it is supercooled, our senses will perceive it as hot until we realize otherwise. A mirage makes us think there is water on the road or something sweet may turn into bitterness in our stomachs once we realize what we’ve eaten. If all we can do is perceive with our bodily senses we will only understand our world from what we can experience. If we possess spiritual insight, then we will perceive and experience our world from a perspective that is much higher than we can attain on our own.
1 Corinthians 15:53 “For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.”
For a person to see the world from God’s perspective, they must be able to see it through His eyes.
Spiritual Insight
If our sense of the spiritual is derived from darkness, then by darkness we will judge what we think we know. Our hearts can either be affected by darkness or light, righteousness or unrighteousness. Not all spiritual practices remain the same, not all paths lead to God, and not every form of meditation or mantra will take you to a higher state of understanding.
If you partake of a practice that is controlled by satan, then you will view everything by that standard.

John 12:35 “Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.”
Any deviation from God’s truth is a lie.
Those who seek a ‘higher form of understanding’ apart from Christ, will only gain spiritual confusion. Satan takes from what belongs to God and twists it, ever so slightly to give the perception of godliness or light.
Deception can take many forms, but the easiest is in the form of slight deviations from Truth.
True Knowledge
The depth of knowing Truth begins with knowing God, not just any god of your choosing but The God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth. He has revealed Himself to and through His people for thousands of years and He continues to make Himself available today.
Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
The fear of the Lord is a recognition of God’s Sovereignty. The Father was revealed through the Son, and then manifest in His people by the Holy Spirit. If perspective begins here, at the point of surrender to Christ and the filling of His Spirit, wisdom is then formed in the faithful. Wisdom is taught by the Spirit of God working in His people,(godly wisdom that is), worldly wisdom can be gained by anyone but God’s wisdom is made known by God Himself.
The more a believer walks with God, the more they will get to know Him. The more a person knows God, the more God reveals understanding. The progression of understanding occurs in conjunction with spiritual maturity, and consequently greater responsibility within God’s Kingdom.
The more the righteous person trusts in Christ with every aspect of their life, the more trustworthy they will become with all spiritual knowledge.
Godly Vision
Seeing the world from God’s perspective comes by way of God’s Truth.

John 17:17 “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”
The final say for everything is the Word of God.
It defines the world, it reveals God, and it connects all believer to all that God will do in this world. The Word of God is complete, it is Holy, and it has immeasurable value to the life of a believer.
If you are a follower of Christ, you have no excuse for walking in darkness and confusion, everything you need is at your fingertips, all it takes is the wisdom and humility to accept God’s plan and not your own.
The way you see the world depends on your position, from a godly vantage point, the view is expansive and with that understanding comes peace.
