Romans 8:30 “And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.”

The Word of God makes it very clear that a person cannot justify themself, it must come from another. Martin Luther called the doctrine of justification “the head and the cornerstone,” necessary for the church’s existence
Justification is the action of making someone righteous in the sight of God. Sanctification is the act of declaring something or someone holy.
If I were to justify my actions before others, I would need to prove my actions were good and necessary for the given circumstances. How can I prove my actions were good based off my own moral standard?
In western culture, morality has been reduced to cultural expectations. If society deems something as moral, then regardless of history or any standard such as the Bible, the action is celebrated. Conversely, if an action is deemed evil by society then no moral agent that contradicts the standard is acceptable.
If morality is fluid, then there is no God.
Galatians 2:16 “knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.”
Society is in direct conflict with a biblical view of morality. The world will always hate true christianity since the two sides will never agree. The Bible declares that to be perfect you cannot offend God’s law, and not one person is immune. Jesus is the only one who kept the law perfectly.

Secular culture wants to justify itself by making rules that accept sin as normal. The western culture has become so mindless that it attempts to redefine basic inherent traits such as gender and sexuality based only on declarations. Basic biological truths that cannot change become arguments at round table discussions and community events, with a lack of defined characteristics. Ask someone in the “woke” community what the definition of woman is and they can only reply that it is what you make it. They cannot define a woman because they don’t deal in objective truth but only in abstracts.
Secular ideology will attempt to redefine science to meet their criteria for truth.
Boys are boys from birth. Girls are girls no matter what you wear or how you dress up the external and yet these truths are mindlessly argued.
The world has always been anti-God. From the days of Noah to the present, people will rebel and corrupt all that is holy. The world would rather destroy themselves than submit to God’s rule and authority.
Sin is Slavery
The very ambition to redefine morality is a lie conceived by evil itself. Satan has wanted nothing more than to destroy the works of God and people are in the crosshairs of his arrows. Anything he can do to enslave people he will do. Substance abuse is easy, it numbs the brain and renders the abused an opportunity to check out of society.
False ideology is another haven of wickedness, it gives people something to hold onto, no matter how shallow its reasoning.
False religion recognizes the spiritual without leading people to Christ. Jesus is reinterpreted into an image they want, rather than what God has revealed.

There is a way out. The gospel calls people to step out of the delusion and into the realm of God’s ordained Truth.
Romans 6:17 “But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.”
The world wants to justify sin. But sin always leads to death, and so the world comes up with excuses that remove guilt and place blame on external factors they claim are not their fault.
Some excuses are blamed on biological factors. Others focus on culture, or mental illnesses that are ill defined. People blame their parents or focus on groups they label as hate groups or ideologies that disagree with their lifestyles.
Bottom line: people want to make up their own standard of righteousness.
How can someone lay claim to any personal righteousness and still be honest with themself? God declares that there are no good people just as there stands not one person who can justify themself before God.
The reality of mankind’s sin has been understood from the beginning, so if people can’t honestly evaluate their lives before God then they must judge themselves by another standard…the culture.
“The righteousness we have by our justification is not our own, but the everlasting perfect righteousness of our great mediator Christ, imputed to us, and made our own by faith.”
J.C. Ryle
For people to justify themselves, they must deny God.

1 John 2:22 “Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.”
The world calls everyone who disagrees with them…liars. A liar knows the truth and denies it by their claim. The hypocrite knows the truth and acts in a way that is contrary to that truth.
The world not only makes up their own truth, but they call people liars who deny their truth. In essence, they want to be God.
The World Hates Truth
Jesus made it very clear as to who would receive eternal life.
Matthew 16:24 “Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
The greater the illusion someone has of their own deity, the greater the difficulty it will be for them to follow after Christ.
Jesus declared what was True.
John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
When the world is confronted with their false ideology, they spew the venom of hatred from which it was founded.
Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point, confronted false ideologies on a consistent basis and was murdered because the world could not handle the truth. Charlie was and is a modern day martyr for his faith. There have been many people who stand up for God’s truth and been killed for their faith. There will be more.
God’s Truth is worth standing up for.

Romans 8:37-39 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Believers can never be silenced. The Church of the living God will not depart until the Lord brings this world to an end.
You may ask…where is the justice in Charlie Kirk’s murder?
The Lord will reside as judge over every person one day. For those who chose to pursue wickedness, the path will lead to their condemnation and ultimately death. For the believer who is being made holy by the work of the Spirit, their path leads to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Charlie Kirk is undoubtedly rejoicing before the Lord today, the reward God has promised to all who remain faithful in Him.
Where is your path leading? Will you be found justified before God or guilty of sin?
Repent of your sin, turn to Jesus, and you will be saved.
