Isaiah 45:22 “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”

There is an old saying, “There are no atheists in foxholes”. This saying speaks of the imminent threat of death that war brings with it and the hope of the soldier that something other than pure luck will keep him alive. Now, I’ve read rebuttals to this, it seems atheists have a rebuttal for pretty much everything, like arguing with a fool the determination to prove a point supersedes the reasoning that comes with a belief and trust in God.
Our beliefs are irrelevant in respect to Truth. I can have a belief that supports a God ordained Universe which carries with it purpose and intent or I can maintain a belief that rejects any notion of the supernatural and draw conclusions for pure luck.
Nothing I do or think changes what is.
If I’m hanging from a cliff with only inches of grip separating me from life or death I am faced with the notion of my beliefs becoming a reality. Unless someone reaches down and pulls me up, I’ll find out very soon if my notions of God were correct.
What if I was wrong?
What if everything I ever believed to be true was actually false? When I fall I will have a few seconds to consider my views and recognize my end has come, any chance for restitution will conclude and I’ll be forced to face my decisions in respect to what is real…now.
The finality of death is a reality for every person on earth. The ratio of people who live and die is 1:1. We cannot escape deaths inevitable conclusion, although may have tried, none have succeeded. The sad reality of death is the fact that there are no second chances. If you were wrong in life, you will continue to be wrong in death, this reality will echo throughout eternity.
Can we know Truth now before we find out later?
This is the question theologians attempt to answer before their deaths become a reality. Not all theology is equal. Just because someone seeks the truth does not mean they will reach a correct conclusion. Just because someone runs a race doesn’t mean they will be given a prize at the end, so it is with theology, the ideal of believing there might be a God is not equal with those who trust The Lord with their lives.

Isaiah 45:11-13 “Thus says the Lord,
The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker:
“Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons;
And concerning the work of My hands, you command Me.
I have made the earth,
And created man on it.
I—My hands—stretched out the heavens,
And all their host I have commanded.
I have raised him up in righteousness,
And I will direct all his ways;
He shall build My city
And let My exiles go free,
Not for price nor reward,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
There is only One God
The atheist claims to have no belief in the supernatural but his position defies his claim. By declaring the absence of God the atheist declares his own degree of absolute knowledge. How does an unbeliever know there is no God unless he knows no God exists? He can’t know this because he does not have access to this level of knowledge. By holding a position in defiance of God’s being, the atheist positions himself in place of God, he situates himself upon his own throne of judgement and declares himself absolved of all responsibility against a moral code of conduct.
The believer doesn’t need to know everything about God, he only needs to know one single aspect of God that confirms his belief.
Jesus confirmed our belief.

Isaiah 45:23-25 “I have sworn by Myself;
The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness,
And shall not return,
That to Me every knee shall bow,
Every tongue shall take an oath.
He shall say,
‘Surely in the Lord I have righteousness and strength.
To Him men shall come,
And all shall be ashamed
Who are incensed against Him.
In the Lord all the descendants of Israel
Shall be justified, and shall glory.’ ”
The atheist and the idolator alike entrust their belief system into the hands of man. Idolatry is man made belief. Islam was formed by Muhammed, Mormonism was formed by Joseph Smith, Jehovah’s Witnesses were formed by Charles Russell, Buddhism by Buddha, and the list goes on.
Christianity was established by Jesus Christ. Others may attempt to incorporate Jesus into their narrative but they present a skewed and imperfect image of how God presented Himself.
All beliefs are not equal.
Many may say they “believe” in Jesus but their hearts are far from Him. Many may lay claim to a belief in God, but their interpretation of God differs greatly from how God presented Himself.
Why would someone make a new definition of God?

From my perspective, the image the Lord God Almighty presented in the garden, confirmed through the people of Israel and presented to the nations and has since been declared before mankind through Jesus is absolute. “Look to Me and be saved all you ends of the Earth! For I Am God, and there is not other” is His declaration. If He defined who He is, it is up to us to conform to His image, not attempt to reimagine Him in another form.
One way to be Saved
Isaiah 25:9 “And it will be said in that day: “Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the LORD; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”
When our lives conclude, our hopes will be realized. Where have you placed your hope?
Is your hope in your own belief system? Is your hope found in a man who claimed a “new revelation”. Is your hope in a structured theology that remains lifeless and without purpose? Is it in science and your ability to perceive?
Where is your hope?
You don’t want to find out too late that your hope was in an illusion, the consequences are dire, the ramifications are too great. There are no second chances at life, there are only conclusions. Where will your life conclude?
This is Jesus’ declaration to you now!
Revelation 1:7-8 “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
You still have an opportunity to change your narrative. Your end may be sooner or may be later, you simply don’t know but what you do know is that you have a choice and the Lord presents to you a hope that will never disappoint.
Place your trust in Christ today and have hope for tomorrow.
Allow the perfect revelation of God to become your reality and watch how the eternal God changes your perspective.
I encourage you, do not delay—the ramifications are far too great.
