2 Corinthians 4:7-10
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 8We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— 10always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.”
Do you realize that the Lord made us weak and vulnerable for a reason?
We can get injured really easy, whether it’s physical or emotional, a virus or a hurtful word, we reflect our humanity on a daily basis.
And yet the Lord has entrusted us with His Holy Spirit. Why?
2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
The lesson He teaches us is…you don’t have to be a rock. You can’t be. Recognize your weakness but don’t wallow in self-despair. Allowing God’s strength to manifest in your life, in spite of your weaknesses glorifies the Lord and becomes a testimony of His magnificent grace.
So “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might”!
